Ready-to-Eat Meals: Demand Is There, but Choice Is Lacking
2026-09-16 14:53
Analysts at NTech have discovered what ready-to-eat meal shoppers are looking for. There are almost no complaints about quality—only 1% of respondents mentioned this. The main requests are for more variety and affordable prices.
Most often, shoppers complain about the following: high prices (21%), a lack of suitable dishes at their usual store (19%), and a generally limited selection (16%).
And here’s another insider fact: about 40% of ready-to-eat meals are still prepared right in stores and small kitchens, mostly by hand. The focus is now on central kitchens and expanding the product range. The market continues to grow and could reach 1.28 trillion rubles (+14.3%) by 2026.
